Thanks, and advice sought
Thank you for the welcome note, Pharaoh of the Wizards. I appreciate it.
I've edited a few pages recently and made my first new page today on the Colorado Mountain Club. I was shocked that a page on that very old organization did not already exist. Anyway, I was hoping you might give me some feedback on the structure and content.
Thanks again.

RFA
Pharaoh, thank you so much for your nice note. I'm really humbled that you'd have such positive things to say! I'm afraid I have to decline, however, the offer to run for adminship. The only thing I'd really like to be able to do is edit protected pages (since I work at DYK a bit), but the rest of adminship just seems like a distraction. I wish they'd unbundle the tools, so I could just have the one I want... Anyways, I don't have enough time as it is, and if I did have more time I'd rather spend it reviewing than adminning. Thanks again for your extremely flattering words, but no adminship for me, at least for now. Cheers, --JayHenry (t) 22:51, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Need help
Hello there. I'm a newer member to Misplaced Pages and I've been writing some articles about some authors I like. My most recent one is about Alfred Gingold. Somehow the title of the article reads "Alfred gingold" and not "Alfred Gingold". Is there some way I can edit this to capitalize his last name?

When tagging articles for speedy deletion...
...please use an edit summary as a courtesy to anybody who has the page watchlisted. You tagged Bryan Skosnick without providing one. Also, minor league baseball players might not be automatically notable but their articles are usually not A7 candidates. I would recommend nominating the article for deletion. --Ron Ritzman (talk) 22:01, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

New User with a Speedy Deletion
Wow it's amazing how well wikipedia knows the feelings of a new user and having their first attempt at an article deleted. I'm wondering how a smaller company can get a factual article on wikipedia. I'm not trying to advertise the company I work for I'm just trying to get factual information on the internet about my company. The website is marketing speak and therefore doesn't have much historical/factual content. I was hoping to place that here on Misplaced Pages.
I was also hoping to start an article and have a couple other people edit it and improve it. I had not known about speedy deletion and am smarter now. I hope to have an improved article drafted for my next submission.
But on improvement. The article I was trying to create Davison Dietsch McCarthy was going to be modeled after Meijer or Amway. Granted these are larger articles and larger companies. Other than increasing the amount of content, How do I improve my article about my employer? Where does it cross the line to WP:SPEEDY G11 - blatant advertising? Also How do I cite more sources if there are no sources to cite (online) I have interviewed people and vetted my details but the information is not available online.
Thank You for your help Pharaoh BlueSkyEyes (talk) 11:56, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. The recent edit you made to Eddie Van Halen has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Image copyright problem with Image:TRbaallu.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:TRbaallu.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Misplaced Pages's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 05:59, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. The recent edit you made to Roy Miller has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 21:52, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
- I blanked the page after merging it with a duplicate, Roy Miller (footballer), so that I could move Roy Miller (disambiguation) to this page. I thought Misplaced Pages generated an automatic edit summary when blanking a page, as it does when rediricting a page... But I guess not! I did, however, come up with a solution for my actions =) Anyway just irritating to get a reverted-message on my talk page, when I almost always provide an edit summary =( lil2mas (talk) 22:22, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

Confused
Why have I been warned? I was redirecting Template:First Minister of Northern Ireland to Template:Northern Ireland heads of government. Explanation please.--Googlechrome (talk) 18:11, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- You blanked the article (twice), which is why you were warned. You only did the redirect after being warned. It's all in the article history. If you were trying to redirect, you could have done that without blanking the page (as you did after being warned).--Terrillja talk 18:18, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

The Groomsmen
Pharaoh, you deleted the addition I made to the article on The Groomsmen, stating that me adding the character name for Heather Burns' character was vandalism. Can you tell me why the hell that is vandalism? Maybe we should delete the character names for ALL the cast members. Should I do that? Hmm? No, and because that WOULD be vandalism. I was trying to ADD to the fricking article, not detract from it. So you know, I will re-add the character name, and continue to re-add it as many times as I need to, until you leave the edit the hell alone. Thank you. 96.237.63.234 (talk) 21:44, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Robert Rubin
I saw your recent revert of a Robert Rubin edit. The original, composite edit looked pretty good. Pls explain each element of yr revert. Tx. -- Iterator12n 03:16, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Worries
After posting my note above re. the Robert Rubin article, I couldn't help peeking at other comments on this talk page, and at your contributions. Worries may be in order. Yesterday alone (Nov 6, 2008) you reverted about 300 times and you issued more than 200 warnings. Now take your intervention in another article than Rubin's, say in The Groomsmen article, and look at the comment from 96.237.63.234, also above. It appears that there was absolutely no reason to revert the Groomsmen edit of 96.237.63.234. Sure, I note that your user page says you're editing from a public connection, however, unless you have given out your password (which would be irresponsible by itself) you must be held responsible for the actions of the Pharaoh of the Wizards, including the appearance of vandalism under the banner of vandalism fighting. Pls let us hear your side. -- Iterator12n 05:10, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Thank you
Thank you very much for your comment .Actually Misplaced Pages works because of vigilant users like you. Firstly the crisis was not only in Mexico but also Asia hence changed it back from Regional to Global and further the removal of Kevin Phillips criticism of his policy are well cited.Kevin Phillips is noted person and has been around since Richard Nixon's days.Checked talk could not find why it had been reverted hence reverted it.I agree I should have been more cautious with this edit.I appreciate that feel i need to more cautious.Thank you again. Please let me know if you have any concerns.
