For much of Bill Clinton's career, from 1978-2000, Hillary has been pitied as a simpler, finer, less ambitious woman, who has had to stand by her man. In fact, they are well-matched, she has no more scruples than he, and in intelligence, energy and political ambition, she is every bit a match for her husband.
