Best known for his Laws of Form, for some the most influential calculus (e.g. Heinz von Foerster, Niklas Luhmann, Francisco Varela), for some plainly incomprehensible and tautologic. He claimed to have proven the four-color theorem using his calculus of form and has a patent on an elevator controller.
