Gameboymusic is music that is produced with (surprise!) a gameboy. To do so one just needs a gameboy and a cattrigde with a special soundsoftware on it. There are lot of different pieces of software, but most gameboymusician use nanoloop or little sound dj.

nanoloop was programmed by Oliver Wittchow, a German artstudent. The userinterface is very minimal and quite different to "normal" musical userinterfaces.

littlesounddj was programmed by Johan Kotlinski, who lives in Stockholm. littlesounddj is a kind of 4 track tracker. Most of the more technically interested gameboymusician use this software.

The gameboymusic-scene is quite small and spread around the world.
