Biography
Amanda Joy Michalka (better known as AJ) was born on April 10th, 1991, in Torrance, California, and is an actress and singer. Since then both her and her sister Alyson Michalka have lived in Seattle where they grew up; they moved there moved there in 1992. There her parents made sure they were exposed to all vaieties of music. Her older sister, Alyson Michalka, plays Keely Teslow on Disney Channel's Phil of the Future. She sings with her older sister. They released an album recently, called Into the Rush. They have three music videos: Do You Believe in Magic?, Walking on Sunshine, and No One. She has helped write almost every song on the CD, and wrote Protecting Me by herself. Also, Something more was wriiten mainly by her (as it is about her first boyfriend) with only suggestions from Aly. When she was younger, she was in a number of WORD Music productions at her church in southern California.
Early life
AJ and Aly got into music at a very early age. They first sang to entertain their friends and family. AJ was nine when she started to study acting. She started out with a lead role with a church musical, Jailhouse Rock. She then worked as a model, appearing in store posters and on magazine covers.
