This is a new section in the newsletter to help familiarize project members with the Manual of Style, which should help them in editing not only professional wrestling articles, but all articles in general.

  1. Avoid using bolding to emphasize text. See MOS:BOLD for appropriate uses of bold text.
  2. If you do not want your information removed from articles, please use proper grammar and cite your sources.
  3. Please avoid adding rumors to articles. Most rumors cannot be sourced with a reliable source and go against the Biographies of Living Persons policy.
  4. Avoid jargon such as face/babayface, heel, turn, etc. in articles. People unfamiliar with professional wrestling will not understand what these words mean. See WP:JARGON for more information.

Editing tips

This is a section in the newsletter devoted to help familiarize project members with the Manual of Style and general editing tips.

  1. This list is of topics that may be easy (or are fairly close) to Good Topic status. Consider helping by improving an article on the list that is not yet at Good Article status.
  2. Consider expanding an article from the project's list of stub articles and nominating it at Did You Know?. The project's goal is to have 100 total DYKs by the end of the year.
  3. All Misplaced Pages articles should be written from a neutral point-of-view, representing fairly, and as far as possible without bias, all significant views that have been published by reliable sources.
  4. When the title of an refers to several things, it is necessary to provide links or disambiguate the page so that readers typing in that title can quickly navigate to the article that interests them. For example: World Heavyweight Championship (WWE).
  5. Addition of content that is likely to be challenged in an article needs to be verified with a reliable source
  6. Do not overlink terms in an article, only make links where they are relevant to the context.
  7. When creating an article that has an image, make sure the image is right-aligned in the lead or in the infobox, per MOS:IMAGES.
