Moscrop Secondary School is a publicly operated secondary school in Burnaby, British Columbia. It is one of the two high schools in School District 41 to offer the French Immersion program. Currently Moscrop Secondary has students from grades eight to twelve. Also home of the fags.

Until recently Moscrop Secondary was a Junior High, with only grades eight to ten. The school’s small physical building suffered from strains after expanding its capacity to grades 11 and 12. Although most of it is now new and spacious, a lot of the building still uses the old hallways intended for a middle school environment. Thus, they can be very crowded between periods.

They have a school paper (Moscrop Prowler).

Athletics are very important at Moscrop. Physical fitness is promoted, and students are urged to participate in extra curricular sports. Moscrop's juvenile girls have gone undefeated in league games and have placed first at the Moscrop Tournament held for other juvenile girls in the lower mainland.

Notable Alumni

The Underground Willy Wonkas

In 2008, three grade 11 students made the national news by running a successful underground candy sales network. Going only by the code-names Weeman, The Fern and Goggles, the students actions were in response to a provincial ban on junk food sales in all B.C. schools.

Sports Teams and Clubs

Currently, Moscrop Secondary has the largest number of sports teams and clubs in the school district. There are currently teams for Cross Country, Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming, Soccer, Field Hockey, Tennis, Skiing/Snowboarding, Badminton, Dragonboating, Track and Field, Rugby and Football. The girl's and boy's basketball teams have won numerous awards throughout the years. Another great team in Moscrop is the 2008/2009 grade 8 boys basketball team. The Moscrop badminton team has also won numerous awards.

Moscrop is also notable for it's involvement in Leadership programs. In 2009, through the District Student's Council, Moscrop's participating students won an award for all it had accomplished throughout the 2007/2008 year. Moscrop hosts the only club that raises money for Autism in the district. Moscrop's Black/Afro-Canadian Club was able to travel to Chicago for the 2008 US Elections in support of Barack Obama. Prominent clubs at Moscrop include Mind Over Autism, Kids Care Club, Global Action Against Poverty, Student's Council, Sports Council, Grad Council, Colourfulworld Club, Ping pong club, Robotics Club, Recycling Club, Baking Club, Grad Council, Counterattack, AIDS Awareness, Lighthouse Generation, Jonas Brothers Fan club, Debate Team, Bubble Tea Club, Vegetarian Club, Spanish Club, Black/Afro-Canadian Committee, Scrapbook Club and many more.
