Note: If you're here to try to persuade me to change a vote on something, please reconsider if a) you've already tried before and were unhappy at my response or b) you have nothing new for me to consider.

This will stop us both from wasting each other's time. Thanks. --Jacquelyn Marie 01:57, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Broadcasting notability

I've come up with a proposal for the criteria for including TV and radio stations. Let me know what you think. Thanks -- Kjkolb 13:25, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

I made exceptions in the proposal for college radio stations (at the bottom). I knew those would be popular, so under the criteria the Wooster stations would be kept. Also, radio stations notable for some reason regardless of what class they are in can also be exceptions (also at the bottom). A notorious pirate radio station would be okay with me, but I didn't include anything about them yet. We can make the exceptions more explicit if necessary. I have already changed them a little. I went by class because, except for college stations (almost always class D), it is a pretty good indication of notability. The lower classes of radio stations are typically low power stations with no original content, local traffic information with no music, or only enough power to cover a small neighborhood. Some are only 10 to 100 watts, compared to several hundred or thousands for major stations. You can get some indication of all this if you search for stations in your state at the FCC site (external links section). There's separate searches for AM, FM and TV. I'm going offline in a minute and I'll get back to about any more comments or questions in a day or two. Thanks for your help. -- Kjkolb 14:40, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

post-archive AfD comments

Hi! Just thought I'd leave a note to let you know that I removed your comment from Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Jessamyn West (librarian) because it had already been closed and archived by the time you posted. I didn't want you to be surprised about it having disappeared. (In any case, the result was "keep"!) — File:Ontario trillium sig.pngmendel 01:54, 17 October 2005 (UTC)

heh. Must've closed while I was writing my screed. That's okay. I'm just glad the article is still around. :) --Jacquelyn Marie 05:52, 17 October 2005 (UTC)

DYK

Updated DYK query Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Euclid Beach Park, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Maryville Middle School

Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Maryville Middle School appears in danger of being trumped by a conspicuous effort on the part of deletionists. Please review the nomination and vote at your convenience. I recognize you may not feel schools are inherently notable, but you have expressed your respect for precedent.--Nicodemus75 05:19, 24 October 2005 (UTC)

A Wooster senior?

And an English major at that? What's your IS on/who's your advisor? Snowspinner 22:16, 25 October 2005 (UTC)
