No Way Out is a film released on August 16 1950 by 20th Century Fox . The film stars Sidney Poitier as an African-American medical doctor in segregated 1940s America.

Plot

Template:Spoiler Two criminals, brothers John and Ray Biddle, are shot while attempting to rob a gas station. Both are taken to the County Hospital prison ward for treatment, where they are looked after by Dr. Luther Brooks (Poitier). Ray Biddle, a racist, doesn't want treatment from a black doctor, and after John dies during treatment, Ray accuses Dr. Brooks of murder, and promises revenge.
