Trunk of the oak
Crown of the 'Tsar' Oak

Dąb Car (Tsar Oak), one of the largest and strongest trees in Białowieża Forest. Circumference 640 cm (250 in), height 41 m (135 ft). The tree's volume has been estimated at 75 m (2,600 cu ft). It died in 1984, and for over 20 years it has been standing dead on the edge of the valley of Leśna Prawa river. Today the trunk is totally devoid of bark and some of the branches have broken off and lie at the base of the trunk.

Age of the oak is estimated at 450-500 years.
