They live mostly in central and southern Somalia. It is largely agreed that they controll the capital Mogadishu and has higher broaden in business in Somalia like Airlines Galgaduud Airlines-Jubba Airways - Global Money Tranfer - Coca Cola Company etc. and the Media sector as Universal TV - HornAfrik -Somali Telefishion Network (STN) and same of them is Internationell you can see them in USA -Europea. The first and the second president was Hawiye Abdullahi Isse, Adan Abdullahi Osman and the third Abdirashid Sharmarke mother was Hawiye.
