This is a pool for predicting the date at which the number of articles (as defined by the official article count presented on the Special:statistics) in the English Misplaced Pages reaches 1,000,000 (one million). The person who comes closest to the actual date is the winner (of eternal fame). The current number of articles in the English Misplaced Pages: 6,938,703.

This pool is now closed. Any future entries will be reverted.

The pool closed on March 17, 2005, the day that the English Misplaced Pages reached 500,000 Entries.

You can vote, however, in Misplaced Pages:Two-million pool, Misplaced Pages:Five-million pool, or Misplaced Pages:Eleventy-billion pool.

For a less serious pool, see Misplaced Pages:Millionth topic pool.

Desolation

Patient centuries have eroded much of the topsoil from the landscape. Loose, charred earth stretches away in every direction.

Inconceivable!

there simply aren't one million topics in existence. --Alterego 07:29, Mar 18, 2005 (UTC)
