Scouting was founded in Qatar in 1956 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1965. It has 3,244 members.
The Scout Motto is "Kun Musta'idan", translating as "Be Prepared" in Arabic. The noun for a single Scout is Kashaf in Arabic.
