Frot is a colloquial term for male-male genital sex. That is, penis-penis rubbing until mutual orgasm, typically while kissing. Various sexual positions for frot are possible.

Advocates of frot emphasize male-male genital sex is more erotic than oral sex or anal sex. Anatomically, frot is more mutually pleasurable, more intimate with face-to-face interaction, more mutually masculine, and more egalitarian. Moreover, frot is many times safer against the risk of STDs.

Terminology for male-male genital sex

Etymology of frot

The term frot derives directly from the French term frottage meaning "rubbing", under the influence of but not with the same meaning as the psychological term frotteurism, also known as frottage.

Slang terms

Slang terms for frot include "phrot", "swordfighting", "cockrub", "manrub", "penis fencing", "bumping dicks", "frication", "wrestling", "cock knocking", "cock2cock", "the Woodberry Hello", "the Princeton Rub", and so on.

The slang term "docking" is a variant of frot that puts the foreskin of one penis over the glans of the other penis while masturbating and is somewhat more vulnerable to STDs because of exposure of the urethra and the foreskin's inner lining to the partner's semen.
