WTAO-FM (92.7 FM, "TAO Rocks @ 92.7") is an Active Rock music formatted radio station licensed to Herrin, Illinois, serving the Marion-Carbondale, Illinois, area.
History
The station previously aired a Top 40 (CHR) format branded as "KISS-FM", competing with WCIL-FM, under the ownership of Clear Channel Communications. It was divested and sold to Withers Broadcasting in 2008 as part of Clear Channel's plan to exit small market radio.

TAO was previously at 105.1 in the Marion-Carbondale market. The stations frequency was changed with another station that host local SIU sporting events. The switch to 92.7 has left the station largely unlistenable, with lots of bleed over from nearby stations. This change leaves this market without an alternative rock station. Local consumer electronic stores noted a small increase in satellite based radio receiver sales as a result of the frequency switch. Advertising has also suffered as a result.
