Mangalore is the port city of the state of Karnataka, India.

It lies on the coast of the Arabian Sea, and is known for its beaches, temples and industries.

Notable among Mangalore's industries is the refinery.

The main languages of Mangalore is Tulu, Kannada and Konkani.

Mangalore receives very heavy rains during mansoon period between June to September 4000mm.
