Michał Klepfisz (1913 - 1943 Warsaw) - hero of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, chemistry engineer, canvasser for the Bund, member of Jewish sport organizatiom Morgenstern, and a member of the Żydowska Organizacja Bojowa.

In the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising he directed explosive materials production. With his intermediation the Home Army sent arms to the ghetto. Klepfisz was killed in second day of uprising. He protected his comrades-in-arms as they retreated by covering a German machine gun with his own body. After his death, commander gen. Kazimierz Sosnkowski decorated him Virtuti Militari V class order. Michał Klepfisz is buried in the Warsaw Jewish Cemetery on Okopowa Street.
