Nelly (Ward) Greisen was a member of the musical trio, 2nd Chapter of Acts, an early Jesus Music group which disbanded in 1988. She sang and performed with her older sister, Annie Herring, and her younger brother, Matthew Ward. Unlike her brother and sister, she never recorded any commercially released solo works.
Nelly and her sister and brother became involved in Jimmy Owens' musicals and Nelly traveled with the national "If My People" tour, which toured the US and the Bahamas in 1976. On this tour, she met her future husband, Steve Greisen, who had been an MK (missionary kid) in China.
