Critical Opinion

In paragraphs 2 and 3 under the "Season 2" heading, the critical analysis of the show taken from articles by Krystal Hawkins in New York Magazine should be removed. It is a critic's interpretation of the show, not factual information per se about the season. Any objection? Or else it could appear under "Critical Responses". But I really question the noteworthiness of one critic's opinion as to the final symbolic message of the show. Christopher Powell (talk) 01:36, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Differences between American and Israeli Versions

Some criticism was mounted during Gabriel Byrne's interview on Charlie Rose that the American version of In Treatment is a verbatim translation of the Israeli version. Can anyone who has seen both versions comment? Jewpiterjones (talk) 21:37, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I could attest that some episodes (especially the earlier ones) are 90% accurate translations. Interestingly enough, the added text usually involves more sexual information and contemporary-consumer phenomenas such as blogs, Ipods etc. That being said, with the seasons progress episodes became more autonomous (with at least 1 episode which never appeared in the Israeli scheme for the season). 80.179.13.34 (talk) 11:17, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

After I saw the two versions (the american and the israeli) in the two languages - I agree: it's amazingly the same text. (eccept some minor environmental differences, like the fighter pilot who bombed in Gaza instead of Iraq, etc.) Danny-w (talk) 09:24, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Kevin Spacey

This has been driving me nuts! I too thought it was Kevin Spacey or maybe Jim Gaffigan. Either way, I looked and Looked all over the internet and haven't found anything till now. Seems that they are being deliberately vague, but 1) one episode talked about being a "4 hour drive" from some unspecified place in Virginia; 2) they referred to going "up to Boston"; 3) mentioned "Middleborough", but didn't say what state- there's one in Massachusetts, and a "Middleborough East" in Delaware. Episodes 21 and 22 definitively show the setting is the Washington, D.C. area. Laura tells of her affair with David in the Hay Adams Hotel, and reveals she lived in DC with her father (who then is hospitalized, and she is caring for him). The outdoor park location in Season 2, Oliver, Week 6 is Byrne Park in Brooklyn. You can see the street signs in the background when Paul is speaking to Oliver on the swingset. --Johnreagan (talk) 04:41, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Alex, Paul's Tuesday patient, is now dead. How should the table reflect that? Last Tuesday, his father was the central character...

If it's true, then WP:SPOILER applies. "It is not acceptable to delete information from an article about a work of fiction because you think it spoils the plot." We just need to word it to reflect that it happens later in the first season. - Colfer2 (talk) 17:47, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Infobox cast list

The cast list in the infobox applies only to Season 2; no one who was only in Season 1 is included. That makes it read like a TV listing that changes as the cast changes rather than an encyclopedia article. The infobox should list either the full cast from all seasons, which would make it unmanageably long already, or only the cast members who remain throughout the run of the show. Since the cast for each season is listed in the body of the article, I think the infobox should list only the major, recurring cast, namely Byrne and Wiest. I'm going to make that change.
