David Brent Keuning (born March 28, 1976 in Iowa) is an American musician, who is most notably the Lead Guitarist of Las Vegas-based rock band The Killers.
Early Life and The Killers formation
Dave was born and raised in Pella , Iowa but moved to Las Vegas in 2000 , in 2001 he placed an ad in a newspaper looking for band members , the ad listed The Beatles , Oasis , U2 , The Cure and the Smashing Pumpkins as influences this attracted the attention of Brandon Flowers , the pair eventually met and began composing music together , one of the first songs they wrote was Mr Brightside.
The Killers (named after a fictional band in a New Order video) began to play live in bars and clubs and eventually Ronnie Vanucci and Mark Stoermer joined the band
