Abu Ma'shar Sindhi (Arabic) ابو ماشرالسندهي(d.170 A.H.): Was the Scholars to Hadith Literature(8th century Hijra) from Sindh now the part of Pakistan.Arab rule produced men of note in Sind, and some of them achieved fame and distinction in Damascus and Baghdad. One of them, Abu Ma'shar Sindhi. He described some historians and chroniclers as a pioneer in the compilation of Hadith. Another notable scholar of Hadith, who was a contemporary of Rabi 'ibn Sabih, was an authority on Hadis and the life of the Holy Prophet, and was so eminent that when he died in Baghdad he was resident of Medina.
