Kimarite (決まり手 or 極まり手 Kimari-te ) are winning techniques in a Sumo bout.

After a winner is declared in a Grand Sumo tournament(本場所 hon-basho), the judges will announce the type of kimarite used by the winner.

There are eigty-two types of kimarite, but only about a dozen are used regularly. For example, Yorikiri, Oshidashi and Hatakikomi are frequent.
