Cold War
Musical artist

Cold War is a band from Westtown, PA, US, who are signed to nothing. Their music is described variably as, hardcore punk with strong hip-hop influences. They have released two albums on this label.

The band's first album was The Bear, where they play tribute to their eclectic influences by covering Celine Dion's The Heart Will Go on. The band's sound is influenced by singer Eli Collins, who worked in Quaker Camp with his previous band Princess Diaries, and parts of the band's instrument tracking were done in Morgan's Dungeon.

History

The band was formed in late 2009 by Eli Collins, Stephen Roche (ex-Citizen Arrest), Jackson Denton(ex-Cock Meat Sandwich), and Rob Hiza. After and between December 2009 and January 2010, the band entered Morgan's Dungeon to record their debut record on Ferris Bueller Records, The Bear. It was released in February 2010. The band also credit "Frost/Nixon" as supplying samples for the album, which basically consisted of background noises and film excerpts to add to the overall sound of the music. they have begun work on their next album "The Man", due out in late 2011.
