Barrington University / University of Atlanta
Your edits are very similar to edits made earlier by editors with a strong conflict of interest, and all the material on the page is referenced and verifyable. Please discuss your edits first on the talkpage. --Dirk Beetstra 22:56, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Blocked
I have blocked your account. You are, at the very least, working closely together with Mistro12. Mistro12 has admitted to have DETC records changed, and I hope that was not the reason your edits started:
You have been blocked from editing Misplaced Pages for continuing to add spam links. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may place {{unblock}} on your user talk page to have the block reviewed. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Misplaced Pages. --Dirk Beetstra 18:24, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:
Im am still new here, I know no one from this site. I was online reasing about University of Atlanta and saw this info on Wiki, I read this thought it was unfair to the school and I chose not to attend baised on the information here. That got me thinking about how unfair this this article was to the school. I wonderd how students of University of Atlanta fell about this, this article makes there degree just about worthless. I was infomed to stop editing by someone which I did and to use the talk page which I will from now on, I am new here and am learing. I just started looking at some of the reff's and citation use and a lot were not there and had diffrent information that did not match up to what was in the article. I called the state of Gorgia and talked to them they infomed me that the schools had two different permits to operate. So If the State is saying they are two different operations, they are. It kind of lit a fire under my belly. I hate seeing wrong information posted. Let’s just say they are the same school, which they are not, is it really fair to the new owners to make the school appear to be a degree mill? The article says more about Barrington the it does about University of Atlanta. I added some new references about accreditation the school had from US Department of Education and the United Nation with references and they were removed. It just seems to me that people want the school to be look at poorly. But I am here to learn as well, If I am unblocked I would look forward to some guiding from you and others and try to use and open mind.
Decline reason:
You appear to have a conflict of interest when it comes to this school. If you are interested in editing other articles that you do not have personal involvement in, please indicate what they would be in your next unblock request. For the moment I am declining your request for unblock because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Misplaced Pages, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read our guide to appealing blocks for more information. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:55, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- I am sorry, you seem to be working together with User:Mistro12, you both arrive shortly after each other. This account has been 'sleeping' for months, and Mistro12 did not edit for half a year. Now you both 'know' that the reference does not exist, and while you were not editing today, you are now here, minutes after you have been blocked. Moreover, you assume 'that people want the school to be look at poorly', no, that is information which is in the references. First the link does not work anymore, and then when confronted with the data, Mistro12 decides to change it. Misplaced Pages is NOT the place to advertise the University of Atlanta, it is a fact that the school was started in 1991, and that at that time the name was Barrington University. There is no "want the school te be look (sic) at poorly". --Dirk Beetstra 19:49, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
2nd Chance
{{unblock|I promise you I do not have any idea who he is, I am in Texas in a small town with about three hundred people. If you want I will email you my home number and you can call me to check. I was not trying to spam or anything. My wife and my oldest son have wiki accounts and are now unable to get on to them. If I was up to no good I would have been getting in under there names as well but thats not what Im trying to do. Its just that there are allot of Detc school that are in ton of trouble with the Government and other things and they have the nicest articles you can ask for. I am just saying that we could make it better and at least show how much the school has tried to improve and that it is a legit University. Leave the Barrington stuff on there but please let make it more about the University of Atlanta and not about Barrington. If you go to the Penn Foster page it does to even talk about the US Justice department suing them. On the Atlanta Page I was able find very little to support what was in the article. Please unblock me and I will do no more edits. I just wish to have a chance to do a real good post in the Talk page with references to support what I am saying. If I get a chance to do this I am sure you will see some of my points I have been trying to make. If I can't be unblocked can my wife and son be? I just ask for a day or two to post in the talk page to discuss my point of view. I promise no more editing by me on this page and I will only discuss it in an adult manor.I will be good!! --Supercopone (talk) 20:05, 12 December 2009 (UTC)}}

ANI
I have posted the information also to Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Blocked after admitting to get records changed for independent admin review. --Dirk Beetstra 20:50, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
I see you posted this above but will not help me when I ask you a question? You are out of control and ban anyone who has a different Point Of View. I asked for your help more then once and have been denied,,,,why? Next time before banning some try to help them, when I was told what I was doing was wrong I stopped when I asked for help I get banned, when people show you that your wrong, they were banned P.S. I did just jump over to Mistro12’s page he said he would ask for the info and to see if it was right and if it was not he would ask for it to be changed. He was very nice about it from what I read, but BOOM you just ban him

Same point of View
I have done as you asked, I sent the email. You said I posted spam? How this? This is so not fair, I can prove who I am. I am just being punished for having a different point of view. I was told to start using the talk page and to stop editing I did this, but was still blocked. I think You my friend are to close to this issue Beetstra and need to step back and let another admin take over. If the whole site worked like the way you think there would never be a different opinion on any other matters but your own. I share the same point of view of someone is that a crime? I am new here is that a crime? I have also done other edits on this site but they don't show up for some reason. I have no idea who the other guy is! It just appears that if anyone does not have your point of view its wrong. --Supercopone (talk) 23:51, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Oversight
I have made a request for oversight "Requests for oversight" due to the lack of any admis want to fix the incorrect information on the article University of Atlanta. --Supercopone (talk) 00:14, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
Unblock
{{unblock|I was blocked for being a sock puppet which I am not! So please do not be mad if I post my unblock request once more! My org blocking admin states I was blocked for spam but in other places he says he did it cause I was a sockpuppet. Im my own person. Please see my email adress codysutterfield@hudsonfirerescue.org or check me out on LS1.com or face book or myspace, I go by supercopone or b4cz28. I feel this is so wrong,,,,I said before I would not edit the page anymore,,,,2nd chance anyone?}}
Regarding your email
Supercopone, regarding your email,
I will leave that decision to unblock you totally in the hands of other editors/admins.
I am sorry, I don't believe that there is no link between you and Mistro12:
- Several sockpuppets from different countries try to pimp the University of Atlanta. First promoting it downright, later blanking information which was sourced.
- Mistro12 about 6 months ago was strongly involved in that, though I believe that he was not one of the sockpuppets. He was however strongly involved.
- You created an account during the last discussions about University of Atlanta 7 months ago, which you did not use at all.
- You return, and deleted sourced information. And you have strong opinions about University of Atlanta. Stronger than just interest, you really feel that it is unjust to the school to discuss its past, and that other schools are treated 'better'. You could just have added some sourced interesting facts, making the impact of the Barrington part smaller. (I know, there is nothing!). You might want to see WP:WAX (that the others are better does not mean that those articles are correct or finished, maybe we did not get to them yet).
- During your return, you perform edits which are very, very similar to other editors in the past.
- I am sorry, there is enough information out there to show that Barrington is in the past of the UofA. The most reliable source changes, but the forum posts are still there, and the rest of the information shows similar data.
- Shortly after you return, Mistro12 returns after 6 months absence.
- The document, which stated that the school was started in 1991, was found back, somewhere else on the server.
- Upon checking, information that was in the DETC document was different from 6 months ago. The DETC did not announce this change, nor is there anything to show that the DETC made a big error which they suddenly had to change over a year after the fact. I am sorry, with so many people looking at the issue 6 months ago, I do not believe that what was in our article 6 months ago was not representing the reference correctly.
It is too much of a coincidence. I agree, you are not the same person (not a sockpuppet in Misplaced Pages terms), but you are related in some form (meatpuppetry).
There are already people asking the higher organisations about DETC, how it seems to be able to change records, etc. etc. I am interested to see what comes out of that. Maybe there is more to tell.
Regards, --Dirk Beetstra 07:34, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
By the way, don't you think it is strange that one of the accrediting agents of the UofA has for over a year completely wrong data in their records? Bit .. eh .. discrediting the accrediting agent if they don't have there records correct, is it not? --Dirk Beetstra 11:16, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
Ok dont get me wrong, I think very little of the DETC and I belive the only true form of accrediting is in the form of regional accrediting. But I do think is article is badly in need of some help. Its has a bad slant to it that is clear to most.--Supercopone (talk) 19:20, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
- That much is true. But not in the form of removing sourced information. Quite some editors spent quite some time on it, and unfortunately, it is the only information which can be sourced. Also, the article has been under a lot of pressure by editors who are directly affiliated to University of Atlanta. Misplaced Pages is not here to promote the University of Atlanta, it is to give a correct representation of the situation. But feel free to help us finding more on this organisation. We are still looking for some local news about it. --Dirk Beetstra 19:32, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
Ok that sounds great, but in the future talk to me first and tell what Im doing wrong before taking any action I am very easy to get along with and am in no way a puppet of any kind, I do want to work on the problems with this article and other's and get it fixed. I think the pages need to be separated what do you think? It seems as though this is very personal to you as well as me let come up with something together!--Supercopone (talk) 19:37, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
