The Azerbaijani Special Forces (Template:Lang-az) are the special operations unit of the Azerbaijani Navy. In 2001, Azerbaijan created the special forces unit which was established with cooperation with the Turkish Navy. The 641st Special Warfare Naval Unit of the Azeri Navy, headquartered in Baku, has conducted joint training with United States Navy SEALs from SEAL Team 2. They have been described as a 'impressive new maritime special forces unit.

The training and organisation structure of the Tigers is similar to Turkish special forces, Su Altı Taarruz and United States Navy SEALs who have a training relationship with them. The first Tiger units were in Ganja following a joint training program with Turkey.
