The village is set in the Suir valley and bounded by the Silvermines Mountains to the northwest and the Slieveardagh hills to the Southeast.
The area around Bouladuff is rich and varied in scenery with spectacular views of the ‘Devils Bit’ and ‘Tower’ mountains. Within walking distance of the main crossroads is a modern primary school, 200-year-old church, pub/restaurant, local shop, excellent GAA (Drom-Inch GAA) grounds complete with dressing room and a covered stand, the venue for many important Gaelic games throughout the summer.
It has two graveyards. The main road is the R498 regional road from Nenagh to Thurles. According to the CSO census in 2006 the population is 452 people, the previous census in 2002 recorded the population at 421
