According to the August 2005 issue of Style magazine, Rodriguez was introduced to Holmes soon after her first meeting with her partner, the prominent Scientologist actor Tom Cruise. Many have proposed that Rodriguez is a personal representative of the Church of Scientology to Holmes, answering questions for her that deal with the Church of Scientology's public image.
