I am the SkagitRiverQueen and have been contributing to Misplaced Pages since mid-2006.
If you address me by my username, kindly refrain from shortening my user name and referring to me as "Skag". If you need to make reference to me or address me by my username, please use my full username - "SkagitRiverQueen" - or the acronym - "SRQ". Anything else will be seen as an insult, as "skag" is an extremely derogatory term, mainly directed toward women (which I am). For further explanation, see the following:
While my interests in Misplaced Pages topics vary greatly, I have so far been most interested in helping to keep Misplaced Pages's policy of a neutral-POV intact - especially in the area of Christianity, spirituality, and religion. I try to do my best to help Misplaced Pages be the most credible reference source on the web. I am a big fan of Misplaced Pages's NPOV, Notability, Assume good faith, Consensus and Reliable Sources guidelines. I also believe in complete honesty in editing and discussing in Misplaced Pages. IMO, being a well-rounded Wikipedian means that I hold to the Five Pillars of Misplaced Pages.
If you have happened upon this page out of curiosity of who I am and why you are having such a hard time getting me to understand why you have changed or deleted one of my edits (that I have reverted back), you might want to know this: I take what I write in Misplaced Pages very seriously and do not make edits out of spite or arrogance or anything other than the best of intentions and desire to see Misplaced Pages become as NPOV and reliable as possible. If you question my edits and/or my motives, please come to my talk page and talk to me - don't go to yours or someone else's talk page to talk about me.If you feel I am being overly stubborn or possibly unreasonable about changes and/or revisions to my edits, I'll give you a hint: kindness over snarkiness; logic and reason over emotion and incongruity; even-handedness over heavy-handedness. All of the positive actions and attributes listed go a long way with me, especially when trying to make compromises in Misplaced Pages. At times I may come off as arrogant and unyielding - please know that is not my intent - but never feel I am unapproachable, as I will talk to just about anyone about pretty much anything - even if we disagree.

International Travels
I love travelling anywhere and everywhere. So far, I've been to all but 8 of the United States and have been fortunate to do some international travelling, including spending some time in East Africa as a missionary. Below are some of the places I have been and some of the places I intend to travel to in the future:
Since Jun 2006, I have made over 4000 edits and contributions in Misplaced Pages. I am pleased to have made (what I hope to be) a positive difference to the integrity and reliability of information found in Misplaced Pages. However, let it be known that while I do not believe the number of edits a Misplaced Pages editor makes is what establishes an editor as good/better/best, I do believe that those who have only edited one or a few articles are not, in the truest sense of the word, a Misplaced Pages Editor, but dabblers. What seems to frequently go hand-in-hand with the Misplaced Pages Dabbler is someone who then complains (read: whines) every time an editor reverts or changes their edits - obviously not getting what Misplaced Pages is about. In so doing, they spend more time tearing down than building up (see I Thessalonians 5:11 and Hebrews 10:24). IMO, the Misplaced Pages Dabbler should not be considered a Misplaced Pages Editor until certain criteria are met. This established editor (moi) believes such an animal should be required to make a set number of contributions to a half-dozen (or more) articles over a set period of time before they are allowed the privilege of calling themselves a Misplaced Pages editor. Sort of a "probation" period, if you will.
One last thing about editing: if you have a history of such egregious Misplaced Pages "sins" as (for example)...blatant and continual incivility, personal attacks. lack of good faith, harassment (on and off WP), and sockpuppeting, please realize that you have lost all rights to chastising other editors about anything you perceive to be *their* Misplaced Pages "sins". IOW, you really should be looking to Windex your own "glass house" and keep it free from broken panes, ya know?
Okay - off my soapbox now... ;-)
My stars and bars (along with articles I have created and/or contributed heavily to)
