Rudolph "Rudy" W. Giuliani (1944- ) is the Mayor of New York City. He served from 1994 until December 31, 2001 and a former U.S. District Attorney.

He ran an abortive campaign for U.S. Senate in 2000 against Hillary Rodham Clinton, withdrawing because of prostate cancer and the fallout from his extramarital affair with Judith Nathan.
