English Professor (Associate) BT Edwards fails to meet meets WP:PROF, Google scholar report is not enough, he is not yet there, he also works in the area of cultural studies at NWU. Note: There could be other people with the same same He's tenured, and has published quite a bit(talk) 23:27, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

- Weak keep - this is about as close a case as I can find. I'd like input from an expert. He's tenured, and has published quite a bit, but is not at a named chair yet. Bearian (talk) 00:06, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- Delete I don't see any thing that causes this to pass WP:PROF in the article.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 01:19, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- Delete. It's not unusual for people at the associate professor level to pass WP:PROF if they have some specific reason for it — some particular piece of research that made a big splash, a big award, whatever. But I don't see anything in his record like that to convince me that he passes. —David Eppstein (talk) 01:38, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- Keep I'm withdrawing this nomination as his numbers are not bad - he could servive as time passes. Sorry for the inconvinience. Please keep it and close. - Nominator --kaeiou (talk) 01:51, 6 March 2010 (UTC). It is explained below. --kaeiou (talk) 12:47, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- Note that an early keep on a withdrawn nomination is only appropriate if there are no other delete opinions listed. —David Eppstein (talk) 15:40, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- Professor Eppstein, I'm sorry for that. I was not aware of the tool by Sodabottle to know more. Professor Edwards's numbers are not bad. We learn as we make mistakes. Hope this explains. I'm not a wiki admin. Regards. --kaeiou (talk) 16:12, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- Comment. It should be noted that in Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Dilip P. Gaonkar (2nd nomination) the nominator kaeiou states that he uses AfDs to experiment with Misplaced Pages: "all those who were nominated by me were written by my friends or me (different wiki accounts over the time). We (my friends and I) wanted to check (kind of Litmus test (politics) ) ourselves whether we write junk or we make sensible contributions while WP:PROF guidelines were cloudy for us." The nominator has made a number of disruptive AfD nominations that have wasted the time of editors on these pages. This may also apply to his article creations. - Comment it looks like you are doubting whether my articles meet notabaility or not. I donot deny that. I wanted to check on that, but you are saying that I wasted your valuable time. I'll stop it to make you happy. Fyi - I nominated 25 for afd, 14 got deleted (they were okay, they failed to meet the wiki notability by a margin), 11 servived (thanks). They were all mine out of almost 150. Let me know what you want me to do. Thanks for your concerns, I will not waste you time anymore - sir, by the by, I never asked you to work on my articles that I nominated for afd. Anyway thanks.--kaeiou (talk) 03:56, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- What do I want you to do? Well, I should like you to restrict yourself to editing only those areas of Misplaced Pages of which you have a good understanding (this applies also to many others). Do not use Misplaced Pages for experiments. Further, your use of written English suggests that it is not your first language. It might be better for you to edit the Wiki in your first language. Lastly, it would be a good idea to prod all your 'experimental' articles. If anybody else is interested in them then they can unprod them. Xxanthippe (talk) 09:13, 7 March 2010 (UTC).
- Are you wiki administrator?no. What is the problem with this page about Edwards? I do not remember you editing pages seriously or even voting seriously at any time. Pages were deleted on the basis of notability (there are thousands uneditted pages on wiki). You wrote - "this applies also to many others". Talk first about yourself . Thanks. --kaeiou (talk) 13:03, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- Let's not attack other editors, please. And if you are indeed AfDing your own articles, that is a shocking waste of other people's time. -- Radagast3 (talk) 15:02, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- Comment: The whole WP:PROF process is cloudy. See how varied and confusing it is: . Yes, this Bio was afded and later withdrawn as I am being confused with the above process. What is wrong in taking help when one does not get it? thx. --kaeiou (talk) 16:47, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

- Delete: no references, fails WP:BLP, and nothing to indicate notability. -- Radagast3 (talk) 14:53, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- Delete. Case for notability is not clearly made. Xxanthippe (talk) 23:32, 7 March 2010 (UTC).
