For amazing dedication to Misplaced Pages and shock that none have yet awarded him a barnstar. PaxEquilibrium (talk)
Well done. It's difficult to be objective, and harder to acknowledge when one is not being objective. AniMate

For handling the attacks on you by Deucaon that were very harsh with diplomacy and ablomb, I award you the Purple Star..  Logical Premise
I want to acknowledge that you have spent so much time mediating between opposing editors. I know not everything has been resolved but your efforts have helped to reduce the conflict significantly. Polargeo (talk)
File:FPRY Merit Order.jpg I, Kebeta (although sometimes seeing things differently), award you with Yugoslavia Order of Merit for your dedication to articles related to Yugoslavia. Kebeta (talk)

General info:

I'm a medical student from the Mediterranean city of Split on the beautiful Adriatic Sea, the second largest Croatian city and capital of the Dalmatia region.
Besides medicine, I am also interested in history, military history (esp. that of the WWII period) and politics (esp. that of former SFR Yugoslavia's peoples). I just prowl around, contributing to such articles as I may...

Split, the "most beautiful City in the World", as the song says...

My cardinal views:

  • From a philosophical point of view, I hold that there is only one truth, it always exists. We either already are, or we can and will be aware of it at some point in the future.
  • A nation's economic welfare is absolutely paramount. All else is secondary.
  • Nothing (especially knowledge) is beyond the reach of the Human Race (we're great! :)
  • God, Allah, Brahma, Zeus, Amon-Ra and all others are fictional characters created to comfort and control the Human Race. (No offense intended to any real persons, of course...)
  • Nobody is neutral. Absolute neutrality and objectivity of thought on a tough issue is an ideal to aspire to, not a real state of mind. Everyone is allowed to have his/her opinion, it is what they do that should be scrutinized for neutrality - and there, in our actions, it can come closest to the ideal. To be objective and neutral, to be above the instincts that cloud your judgment - that is one of the highest aspirations one can have, it is one of the greatest prizes sentience can award us, and the only foundation for knowledge and understanding.

What I am absolutely NOT:

To whom it may concern,

  • I am not a communist. I believe communism is a failed and deeply flawed ideology. I support Yugoslavia not because of its socialist/communist system of rule, but because of the relative harmony, rule of law, and economic prosperity it brought to the various nations of our region. I also believe the individual republics of former Yugoslavia are far too small and economically insignificant to exist completely independently.
  • I am not a nationalist in any form. I despise that particular ideology, because it is not based on rationality and has been the foundation of innumerable horrors (for example: the Yugoslav Wars).
  • What I try to do is walk the thin line (and in the Balkans-related articles, it is pretty thin) between these extreme points.
  • My home region, Dalmatia, is a unique (and only) cultural mix of Mediterranean and Slavic culture. I also try to maintain a balance between those two extremes when editing related articles. Due to many obvious reasons, the pressure from the Italian side of this balance is stronger on Wiki. This creates the illusion of me being "anti-Italian" to some, wich is completely absurd. Given the choice between Croatian (radical) nationalism and Italian (radical) nationalism, I would very reluctantly choose the latter.

Besides adding new material, what I try to do is prevent nationalist POV from degrading articles, while at the same time keeping away from a strictly left-wing point of view.
