Electoral fraud is the deliberate interference with the process of an election.

It can take many forms:

  • ballot-stuffing
  • bribery
  • multiple voting
  • registering false voters
  • intimidation of voters
  • interfering with postal and proxy votes
  • interfering with the count

Some means of influencing the outcome of an election such as gerrymandering are often argued to be forms of electoral fraud, even though they are quite legal.
