Lunxhëri is a physical-geographical and ethnographical region and municipality in the district of Gjirokastër, Gjirokastër County, Albania. It extends from the west side of the mountain with the same name from Hormovë, in the north-west, to Gryka e Suhës in the south; from the crest of the Lunxhëri mountain in the east, to the valley of the Drino in the west. The region has many rivers and streams such as (Përroi i Dhoksatit, Përroi i Qestoratit, and the river of Nimica). The main inhabited places, are Erind, Muzo Asqeri, Nokovë, Mingull, Këllez, Dhoksat, Qestorat, Saraqinisht, Stegopull, Selckë, and Odrie. Lunxhëri is rich in carstic waters, especially near tectonic disjunctions.
The many archeological findings (Këllez, Dhoksat, Erind) and the ancient city of Antigonia, today a National Park, are testimony that the region was inhabited since antiquity.
During World War I and the interwar period, many families migrated or left the area.
