Infamous 2 (styled inFAMOUS 2) is an upcoming open world video game for the PlayStation 3 video game console developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game is the sequel to the 2009 video game, Infamous.

Plot

The game follows the events of Infamous with Cole MacGrath as the main protagonist once again. The game will take place in a new city called New Marais and will involve Cole going against a new, more powerful enemy.

Development

Gaming journals have reported the likelihood of a sequel to Infamous due to a Twitter post made by actor David Sullivan reporting on auditioning for the role of Cole in the game's sequel. In April 2010 it was reported that Sony had purchased the domain name 'infamous2thegame.com', increasing speculation that a sequel was in development. The game was officially unveiled when GameInformer released the cover for their July 2010 issue which features a ten page preview of the game.
