WordPress is a Web publishing system (a.k.a. content management system) written in PHP and utilizing a MySQL database. WordPress is used to manage frequently updated Web content, especially Weblogs. It is distributed under the GNU General Public License and is available without charge.
The current version of WordPress is 1.2. This currently supports one weblog or site per installation, but multiple installations are trivial. Upcoming versions will incorporate this. WordPress is fully XHTML and CSS compliant.
