The New Teacher Project (TNTP) is a non-profit organization founded by Michelle Rhee that works with needy school districts to recruit and train new teachers.

The New Teacher Project (TNTP) was founded in 1997 by former Teach For America alumna Michelle Rhee with the aim of closing the achievement gap by providing high-need students with outstanding teachers. TNTP has trained approximately 37,000 teachers in twenty states, which has the effect of benefiting an estimated 5.9 million students nationwide.
