Revision as of 23:51, 15 February 2006 by Michaeljtr (talk | contribs)(diff) ← Previous revision | Latest revision (diff) | Newer revision → (diff)Lobotomizer is the debut album of the Norwegian band Motorpsycho, released in 1991. It is the rawest release in terms of sound and also style (mostly heavy metal and grunge) It is by most fans seen as the weakest record the band ever put out. Still, a crowd-favourite is included even here: the lenghty "Hogwash". And the title track and also "Eternity" prove that not everything on this record is loud and noisy.

Trivia
- "T.F.C." stands for "True Fine Citizen". It's a song about a double moraled man who is respected in society but molests his children at home.
- The original vinyl edition (limited to 1000 ex) had a gatefold cover with printed lyrics (and psychdelic artwork).
- This is the only album of Motorpsycho (prior to "Black Hole/Blank Canvas") that does not include Håkon Gebhardt on drums.
- "Hogwash" and "Frances" were later recorded in outlaw country style for The Tussler Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. "Hogwash" then also included some verses of the Lobotomizer title track.
- "Eternity" includes a poem written by William Blake and some strange effects. (Bent: "Pitched down to Swans territory, and echoed to death")
- They made a promotional video for the song "Grinder".
