It consists of a primary school and a secondary school. In the primary school each year has 2 classes of 33 pupils, while the Secondary school receives an additional 33 pupils from other local primary schools.
The school regularly tops the list of performance for state schools in Scotland. As well as being a top school academically, it is thought to be a very suitable school for the open-minded (wtf I know)
In early 2005 the school bought the sports complex at Laurel Park and received a very bad HMI report.
The school is in the process of modernising and expanding the premises to further aid the education of pupils.
