Thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Limit Up (film). Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Image tagging for File:AbelFGladiator.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:AbelFGladiator.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Misplaced Pages, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 19:05, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:TheManwhowouldn'tdierogermoorenancyallen.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:TheManwhowouldn'tdierogermoorenancyallen.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 04:22, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Against the Law (1998 film)

Hi! I changed the copy substantially to adhere to Misplaced Pages guidelines. Thansk for the tip.Johnandmitchy (talk) 05:23, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

This is an automated message from VWBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Against the Law (1998 film), and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.acf-film.com/en/fiche.php?film=34209.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) VWBot (talk) 07:52, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for adding this article. You might be interested in joining the Film Project. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the talkpage. Lugnuts (talk) 09:56, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Andykoscoyankees_(2).jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Andykoscoyankees_(2).jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Misplaced Pages articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? feydey (talk) 11:32, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Problem with images

John, I'm concerned that you are not following Misplaced Pages's image use policy. You uploaded File:TMWWDRogerandNancypromo.jpg to include at The Man Who Wouldn't Die. Apparently you used the poster template from File:The Lincoln Lawyer Poster.jpg without properly updating it. The image you uploaded is not a poster image and does not belong in the infobox. In addition, you uploaded File:Jaws3D bts3-Copie-Copie.jpg to use at John Putch, and you apparently use a poster template that mentions Jaws 3 but apparently does not come from the film article. You are also making a lot of edits without using any edit summaries, and I strongly encourage you to use them and to explain why these images have inappropriate descriptions. If you do not and continue your current trend, I will be forced to file a report to admins at WP:ANI. Erik (talk | contribs) 22:07, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

You also added File:Altmanpressconference.jpg to Shelley Long. According to another editor, the film festival took place in 2000, and I verified this here. I am wondering why you marked the date as 1998? It seems strange for you, the copyright holder, to be inaccurate about the date. Erik (talk | contribs) 00:28, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
The image does not appear to be yours; the other editor found it here. Please do not upload any more images with false licensing. Erik (talk | contribs) 00:49, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

I started discussion at WT:BASEBALL about your non-free image for a living person. Since you are editing and have likely seen my message above, please respond to my concerns above. Otherwise, I will be scrutinizing all of your edits from here on. Erik (talk | contribs) 04:40, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
