He is a southern based producer who worked with Nelly, Ludacris, Trick Daddy, T.I., Lil' Wayne among others features in production. He is the son of former Bar-Kays bassist James Alexander. Contrary to popular belief, his mother is not R&B/gospel singer Deniece Williams, of "Let's Hear It For The Boy" fame.
Jazze Pha is credited for bringing R&B singer Ciara national attention with her solo album Goodies. He produced her hit single 1,2 Step feat. Missy Elliott.
He is also jointly signed a production deal with Cash Money Records.
