Three of the fourteen episodes went unaired in the original broadcasts by Fox, but were subsequently aired on the Sci Fi Channel in the US. A sequel movie, Serenity, was released in 2005.
The entire series and the movie are available on all DVD regions and available on Blu-ray as well as through Netflix's instant downloads.
