Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever is the sixth book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, written by American author Jeff Kinney. It was first announced in The Ugly Truth as "More Diary of a Wimpy Kid", then it was announced in The Wimpy Kid Do-It-Yourself Book as "Diary of a Wimpy Kid 6". The title and book cover was announced on June 16, 2011. It was released on November 15, 2011. Greg Heffley is 13 years old in Cabin Fever.

Creation

Jeff Kinney was trapped inside his house in New England during a blizzard. The feeling of being trapped inside his house is how he got the idea for Cabin Fever. He had brought home his new dog before the blizzard came.

Notes

• This is the first time Manny Heffley has appeared on the front cover.
• Sweetie the dog makes a second appearance in Cabin Fever. His first appearence was in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days.
