Nagendra Karri (born 28 November 1982) is a Hollywood Film Director and Producer. A very uniquely talented upcoming Director, he rose to prominence with the movie "Where are you Sophia?". His upcoming features scheduled for a 2012 release include the Romantic Drama "GATE 21" and the Soviet era Red Mafiya Thriller "Mobster- A Call for the New Order".

EARLY LIFE

Nagendra Karri was born in India to Sujatha Karri,a sharp and an intellectual business woman and Srinivas Rao Karri, Lt Colonel Infantry Indian Army. His schooling was at the Tiny Tots Public School, Visakhapatnam, India. He graduated with Bachelors in Computer Science & Engineering from JNTU, Andhra Pradesh. At 20, Karri landed in United States of America to pursue higher studies. He successfully graduated with Masters in Computer Science & Electronics Engineering from Oregon State University. His other educational pursuits include a minor in Film Making & Direction from University of Southern California, CA.

CAREER

Nagendra Karri started his career working with a private brokerage firm LPL Financial, San Diego. He moved to New York City in 2006, and worked on a high end security system for Department of Health, New York City. Followed it up with an excellent time in JP Morgan, Chase in New York City where he met most of his best buddies who supported him to venture into the creative world of his dreams, Hollywood.

He started Eternal Mind Productions in 2007 with the backing of some venture capitalists and his best buddies from Wall St. His interest in writing and other literary pursuits helped him to start writing at an early age, which later translated to his unending interest to write film scripts. Remaining true to his creative passion, Karri was involved in daily field work to pen his scripts close to reality. His first few original film scripts include "Mobster- A Call for the New Order", "Where are you Sophia?", "GATE 21", "Chronicles of Kurukshetra", "Human Aliens", and "The Reds".

In 2009, Nagendra Karri directed and produced "Where are you Sophia?", a Pyschological Suspense Thriller which had excellent reviews for its limited release worldwide in early feb 2010. Also premiered in the prestigious Cannes film festival, IFFI and Tribeca, Karri announced himself with his maiden venture.

Karri spent two exhaustive years to come up with his next upcoming releases in 2012, "Mobster- A Call for the New Order" and "GATE 21". He stands as a great inspiration to the young and aspiring directors from around the world. His upcoming work is sure to garner him many more audience as this young talent promises to walk the long distance.
