Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson (born November 19, 1989), better known by his stage name Tyga (an acronym for Thank You God Always), is an American rapper signed to Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Universal Republic Records. He is of Vietnamese and Jamaican descent. He first received recognition with his debut single "Coconut Juice", featuring his cousin Travie McCoy.

Biography and Career
Tyga, whose real name is Michael Stevenson grew up in Compton, California, of Jamaican origin and Vietnamese, he is the cousin of Travis McCoy,and the brother of Shemar Coleman ,& Gacorea Coleman which were members of the group Gym Class Heroes (his mother is the sister of the father of Travis McCoy).
In early 2007 he released his first mixtape Young On Probation. He also participated in events of Get Wett! Entertainment in Los Angeles. On June 10, 2008 he released his first album on Decaydance Records labels, and Young Money Entertainment. In 2009 he appeared on two of three singles from the album We Are Young Money, which includes artists signed to the label the same name.
In 2010, he collaborated with Chris Brown on the mixtape Fan of a Fan. In 2010, he announced the release of his second solo album "Careless World".
