Felipe Contepomi

Felipe Contepomi (b. August 20 1977 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine rugby union footballer. He plays as a fly-half / centre for Leinster Rugby in Ireland, previously for Bristol Shoguns in England.

Contepomi played more than 45 caps with Los Pumas, and has been occasionally its captain.

He started playing rugby for Newman, in Buenos Aires.

He recently played a major role in Leinster's 41-35 win over the Heineken Cup holders Toulouse, scoring 21 points in the process and winning the man of the match award.

Largely as a result of his attacking play and charateristic panache, he has built up a cult following among many Leinster supporters.
