Revision as of 00:31, 6 April 2006 by ChrisGriswold (talk | contribs)(diff) ← Previous revision | Latest revision (diff) | Newer revision → (diff)My name is Chris Griswold, and I live in Pittsburgh, PA. I was born and grew up in Franklin, PA, attending first Central Elementary and then Franklin Area High School. Previously, I lived in New York City, where I worked at Jim Hanley's Universe and studied and performed improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English writing from the University of Pittsburgh, along with a film certificate and a minor in German. At Pitt, I was a squadleader in the University of Pittsburgh Varsity Marching Band; a sister of Tau Beta Sigma service sorority; and a member of Quo Vadis, the group that gives tours of the historic Cathedral of Learning. Additionally, I was active with The Pitt News, first I was a copy reader; then I wrote as a columnist, reporter, reviewer; and finally I held the positions of Opinions and then News editor.
It was at Pitt that I began my long association with Friday Nite Improvs, Pittsburgh's legendary cult improv show. I have served as the showcase host for many years now, and I also hold unofficial (not much is official with us) positions as producer and public relations dude.
I am currently applying for the NYC Teaching Fellows, so that I may return to New York and contribute my abilities to the New York City school system.
