Ranbir Kapoor is the son of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. He is the brother of Riddhima Kapoor.
He is part of the legendary Kapoor clan of Bollywood. His great grandfather was Prithviraj Kapoor, his grandfather was Raj Kapoor, his great uncles are Shashi Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor, his uncle is Randhir Kapoor and his cousins are Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Shivani Kapoor and Nikhil Nanda.
Rishi Kapoor confirmed at the Zee Cine Awards that Ranbir Kapoor will make his debut under Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film is titled Saanwariya and also stars Salman Khan and Rani Mukerji. Anil Kapoor's daughter Sonam Kapoor will be paired opposite him.
Bhansali has booked out RK Studios and has started recording the songs for the film.
