Liverpool (El Puerto de Liverpool S.A. de C.V.) is a chain of department stores in Mexico, operating over 20 stores in all Mexico.
History
Liverpool first named as The Cloth Case was founded in 1847 by Jean-Baptiste Ebrard a French man who first started selling clothes in cases in Mexico City's downtown. Later in 1872 he started importing all the merchandise from Europe embarked from Liverpool, England and thats why he adopted Liverpool to name his store.
