Ghawari derived from two Balti words Gawa"means pen" and ri means "village",s it is basically a big vallay .is a small agricultural village situated in Ghanche District, Baltistan. It is well known for as a center of Islamic scholarship and learning.

Religion

 The people of Ghawari are all Muslim and belong to Ahle Hadees Sect of Islam.
