Bossi boxed from 1961 to 1971 and his final overall record was 40 wins (10 KOs), 8 defeats and 3 draws.
Bossi captured the junior middleweight crown from American Fredie Little on a unanimous 15 round decision on July 9, 1970. In his last fight, he lost his crown and was defeated on a controversial split decision awarded to Japanese challenger Koichi Wajima in Japan.
